McLaren MP4-12C vs Ferrari 458 vs Porsche 911 Turbo Drag Race
McLaren’s long rollout of the MP4-12C began yesterday with a smattering of reviews of pre-production cars. And then there’s this: an anonymously posted video of what we’re sure is a McLaren-endorsed drag race between the MP4-12C, a Ferrari 458 and a Porsche 911 Turbo.
Is the outcome seriously in doubt? Not really. The McLaren pulls up to the line with a 92-hp advantage over the 911 and weighs more than 100 lbs. less than the 458, which it also out-muscles. Sure, it will cost more than any of them as well, but in this realm the customers just hand the bill to their accountant.
